Unity in Striving: Philippians 1:27-2:4

We should live as heavenly citizens together for the gospel.

In this text, Paul identifies two truths that always remain the same and serve to give us confident joy in Christ.

The Christian should always rejoice with confidence because God accomplishes his purposes through all our circumstances.

Among other things, the book of Numbers taught us that God is faithful to his people in the midst of the difficulties of this life. But as we travel together, God's faithfulness should shape our life together. Indestructible joy is the fruit of a mindset shaped by Christ and shared by his people.

Life in heaven will be flawless because God is perfect.

We must take care because our Lord is jealous for his people and we are fallen.
