Giving

We believe that Christian generosity is a joyful response to the gospel. It is not a dutiful obligation but a cherished privilege. It does not merit special favor from God but responds to God’s favor already received in Christ. In short, we find the motivation to give exactly where the Apostle Paul found it: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor so that you by his poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9).

Furthermore, we believe that generosity focused toward the local church is a vital part of our community life together. Our membership covenant states that we purpose, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, “to contribute cheerfully and regularly as God has prospered us, to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, to the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel throughout all nations.” Giving is a fundamental activity of Kossuth members.

Giving to Kossuth can take place in a number of different ways.

1. By placing gifts in the designated boxes on Sunday mornings.

Each week we take up an offering to support the work of the church, and you are invited to worship with us by contributing in this way. If you wish to take advantage of offering envelopes, you can obtain those through the church office.

2. By mailing gifts to the church office.

3. By secure online giving via automatic withdrawal or credit/debit card.

For online giving, please consider automatic withdrawal from a bank account rather than using a credit/debit card in order to reduce the processing fees on your gift. Also, for the sake of financial integrity and responsibility, we strongly suggest that you only utilize credit card giving if you pay off your card in full each month.
