Our Leaders

Kossuth has been blessed with many men and women who love Christ and his Church; many of them serve our church through other roles of leadership: eldership, deaconship, ministry leading, and building care.

DAVID CHRISTENSEN - DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY MINISTRY

David was born and raised in Northern Indiana and came on staff with Kossuth in the Spring of 2025. While pursuing degrees at Purdue University (BS), Faith Bible Seminary (MDiv), and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (ThM, PhD), David has worked as a construction laborer, computer technician, pastoral intern, bank teller, and data analyst. After marrying his wife Kelly in 2010, the Lord has granted them three daughters: Elizabeth, Rosalyn, and Joanna. In addition to spending time with his family, David enjoys studying the Bible, reading aloud to his daughters, strength training, and coffee.

TIMOTHY EASTERDAY - DIRECTOR OF MUSIC & YOUTH

Timothy, a native of Missouri, came on staff with Kossuth in 2025. He earned a BA in Biblical Studies from the Moody Bible Institute where he met his wife, Kaci. After they were married in 2021, Timothy studied at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv). While in Louisville, he also served as a Pastoral Intern at Clifton Baptist Church and worked as a furniture technician. Timothy and Kaci are the glad parents of their son, Emmett, with whom they enjoy singing, reading, and playing catch.

JOANNE MAULDING - LADIES' MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Joanne and her husband Bob have been attending KSBC since 2017.  Along with the rest of the women’s ministry team, Joanne strives to serve women at Kossuth by providing multiple avenues for gathering all ages of women through events and Bible studies. Joanne is also passionate about applying the Gospel into real, everyday life through biblical counseling.

TONYA SMALL - ENGAGE DIRECTOR

Tonya Small is the Director of Engage. She has been a member of KSBC since her college years and returned to the Lafayette area in 2019 after serving vulnerable children and foster families overseas as a missionary with our OVC partner, Bethesda Outreach, for nearly 12 years. God placed children experiencing foster care in Tonya’s heart as a teen and it has been an area of focus throughout her life in ministry. In addition to helping other foster and adoptive families in our church and the community at large through Engage, Tonya is a licensed foster parent currently caring for children in need, works with biological families of children previously in foster care, and an adoptive mom to 2 growing children.
