Year-End Offering

Dear Kossuth Friends and Family,

The end of the year is an appropriate time to look back with gratitude, take stock of what God has
done, and consider the ways that he has blessed us. And as we come to the end of this year and see
God’s blessing in our own lives, it’s good for us to consider how we might bless others as well. As a
church, we’ve done this in previous years by coming together to take a special offering in addition
to what we regularly give to specially serve one of our partners in the gospel.

Paul writes to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:9-13,

9 Do your best to come to me soon. 10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted
me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke alone is
with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry. 12 Tychicus
I have sent to Ephesus. 13 When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas,
also the books, and above all the parchments.

From Paul’s letter to Timothy, we can see that a great way to serve our partners in the gospel is by
visiting them. But along with visiting them, Paul asks Timothy for tools to equip him to continue
his work: a cloak, books, and parchment. By God’s grace, we have been able to visit our global
partners this year with a group of people to visit the Stilwells in Trujillo, Peru. They have identified
two specific needs that they may be well-equipped to equip others for gospel ministry.
During the trip to Peru, we learned more about David and Kandie’s transition out of pastoral
ministry at Victory Baptist Church and into oversight of the Seminario Bautista del Peru (Peru
Baptist Seminary) in Trujillo. The Lord seems to be blessing the ministry of the word in Trujillo. As
more people have come to faith, the need for more trained pastors has increased. God, in his grace,
is raising men who want to be trained for ministry at the seminary, which means the seminary's
needs have increased. David and Kandie have relayed to us some needs for the seminary staff and
the facility.

To pay staff during the summer months (our winter months of December, January, and February)
when classes are not in session, the seminary often depends on special offerings. There is a need
for $12,000 to finish paying staff for the summer. We would love to meet that need.
After their staff's needs, the seminary has facility needs. More men desire to train at the seminary,
but the seminary needs more apartment facilities to accommodate them. The Stilwells are in the
process of procuring plans for a facility that would cost $250,000. We would like to contribute any
funds raised above the $12,000 toward the new apartment facility.
We are excited to end the year continuing to share in what God is doing here in our local church
and across the world. We would ask that you prayerfully consider what you and your family might
be able to contribute to these needs in joy.

If you desire to give to these things, here are two options for contributing to our year-end
offering:

• Online: Visit https://ksbc.churchcenter.com/giving or use the Church Center app.
• Check: Write “YEO” in the memo line and drop it in the offering box or mail it to the church
office.
• We will receive gifts toward the Year-End Offering through January 15.

Thank you for serving with us as we continue to seek faithfulness and joy in all we do. We are
looking forward to what God has in store for us in the days to come.
