Salvation comes through judgment. This theme is constant throughout the storyline of scripture. In this passage, we come to understand that deliverance is not just about freeing people from oppression to the wrongful dictator but likewise about remembering that we are in constant need of being liberated ourselves.

Suffering is a part of life for everyone. Suffering also has a tendency to expose our hearts. It can feel like God is not truly in control when things go sideways. When that happens to the Israelites, Yahweh reaffirms His name as a reflection of His character as the faithful covenant-keeping God.

God sees, hears, knows, and rescues His people so that they might worship, remember His promises, and be light in His world.

God is always up to something and always finishes what He starts. Be encouraged today that our Heavenly Father has no projects, promises or people that He is not actively pursuing to their completion.
