Director of Campus Ministry

Summary

We are looking for a godly, intentional, gospel-driven disciple-maker who loves Jesus and people to direct our church’s domestic campus ministry, Salt and Light Christian Fellowship (SLCF). That person will shape the minds and hearts of students through biblical teaching, study, and discipleship; equip students in ministry skills that impact the campus of Purdue University; connect and train Kossuth members to invest in the lives of students; and connect college students into the disciples-making-disciples community of our church family.

Essential Responsibilities

The Director of Campus Ministry will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities:

1.     Discipleship: Invest in the lives of college students through discipleship relationships among non-believers as well as Christians. Direct the ministry toward a Christ-centered and Scripture-saturated mindset. Make disciple-makers among students and raise up student leaders who can turn around and invest in the lives of other students. Connect students into the life of our disciples-making-disciples community at Kossuth Street Baptist Church (KSBC).

2.     Training: Equip church members and student leaders to be effective disciple-makers on campus. Organize and lead key events such as retreats and spring break trips. Prepare students to be life-long disciple-makers well after their college experience.

3.     Church-Connectedness: Lead SLCF within a local church context connected to KSBC. Help non-SLCF college students connect into the life of our church family.

4.     Participate as a full member of the staff team, including attendance at weekly meetings, the fulfillment of general office responsibilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
