Campus Ministry Residency

 

Summary

This resident will provide oversight and leadership in our domestic college ministry Salt and Light Christian Fellowship (SLCF).  He will be responsible to connect (a) the gospel to the lives of students in life-on-life discipleship relationships, (b) our church family to the campus by equipping and utilizing the gifts of church members in impacting students, and (c) the campus to our church family as an active part of a disciples-making-disciples community. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

The residency requires a two-year commitment with the potential of further renewal and will function at a 30-35 hours per week capacity. The resident will be expected to carry out the following responsibilities:

 

Discipleship: Invest in the lives of college students through discipleship relationships among non-believers as well as Christians. Lead the ministry toward a Christ-centered and Scripture-saturated mindset. Make disciple-makers among students and raise up student leaders who can turn around and invest in the lives of other students. Connect students into the life of our disciples-making-disciples community at Kossuth Street Baptist Church (KSBC). 

 

Training: Equip church members and student leaders to be effective disciple-makers on campus. Organize and lead key events such as retreats and spring break trips. Prepare students to be life-long disciple-makers well after their college experience. 

 

Church-Connectedness: Lead SLCF within a local church context connected to KSBC. Help non-SLCF college students connect into the life of our church family.

Participate as a full member of the staff team, including attendance at weekly meetings, the fulfillment of general office responsibilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
