I hope you are well. I miss being together with all of you.
I want to share some very exciting news. Lord willing, we will open our auditorium for worship very soon.
Like you, we as elders have been watching and navigating the impact of COVID-19. This past Friday, Indiana Governor Holcomb announced a five-stage plan to gradually open up our state. The elder team met over the last day and a half to pray and consider what is best for us as a church family.
In an effort to love our city well, we as elders believe it best to align our plan with what Indiana has recommended along with a small buffer.
While we will continue to offer a live stream for the foreseeable future, we have also tentatively planned two on-site worship gatherings on May 31, one at 9a and another at 11a. We see two on-site gatherings as a temporary solution for this season only and will resume one worship gathering on-site when appropriate to do so.
Further, starting this Sunday, we will offer a live stream virtual worship gathering on YouTube and Facebook from the auditorium. That means we will worship together via live stream for the foreseeable future as we prepare to also open our building for two on-site worship gatherings beginning May 31. We will continue to send out links to the live stream on Fridays and Sundays.
We would encourage you to pray and discern what is best for you and your family. Please feel the freedom to worship at home and use our online resources for as long as you need to.
We will send out more details this Friday in the weekly web update regarding our own Kossuth five-stage plan, but for now, I wanted to let you know the anticipated schedule for the rest of this month.
As always: Love God. Love people. Reach out. Pray much.
God bless you, Kossuth.
