Welcome / Ministries / Adult / Adult Bible Fellowships (ABF) / Koinonia
Welcome to Koinonia! Our name is drawn from a Greek word which means
fellowship. Our mission is not only to present solid teaching from the Bible which can be applied to our lives, but to be a place of fellowship with other believers and a doorway into our church family for visitors.
Our class meets from 9:30–10:30 on Sunday mornings, in between the two worship services. We can be found upstairs in Room 206 (right across from the doughnut table!). We are led by a teaching tag-team that encourages class discussion and participation in the lesson:

Tom Humphrey has been married to Angela since 1980 and they have two grown, married children. He and Angela have a passion for orphan ministry and are pursuing the adoption of a 9-year-old boy from Jamaica that they met on a mission trip in 2008. Tom is the Director of Quality Assurance at IMMI, a manufacturer of occupant restraint systems located in Westfield, IN. In his spare time, Tom enjoys golf and running (when the Spirit moves).
Dave
graduated from Purdue University in May of 2006 with a degree in
physics. He is glad to be done with physics and to work as a pastoral
intern at KSBC while attending Faith Bible Seminary in town. After two
years of working with the college ministry, Dave is branching out into
other areas of church work and teaching, and his presence in Koinonia is helping the class to grow in the area of patience. He lives across the street
from the Columbian Park Zoo and gets to see the goats and llama every
day.
One of our goals for 2009 is to make this page on the website a helpful source of information for both visitors and regular attenders. Over the next few months, we plan to add pictures of our class, a calendar of upcoming events, and a bunch of other stuff we probably haven't thought of yet! So be sure to check back from time to time.
