The worship choir purposes to lead the church in connecting with God in worship through singing.  The choir meets together on a regular basis to encourage each other, pray together, and prepare music for Sundays. Throughout Scripture, God tells us to proclaim the wonders of His name throughout out the world.  The choir exists to do just that: to musically proclaim God’s story with boldness, quality, and clarity.  If you are a follower of Christ, either a member at Kossuth or pursuing membership, and are of driving age, you can be a part of the worship choir.  If you love singing and can hold a tune in a bucket, then worship choir might be for you!

Fast Facts

• We practice every Wednesday from 7:45-8:30 PM in room 202 (up the stairs and turn right, door at the end of the hall)
• We typically sing one Sunday a month (on average), both in the early service (8 AM) and the late service (10:45 AM)
• We sing a wide range of music, ranging from rockin' worship songs with a full band to classic hymns accompanied by piano
• We have around 30 choir members, and we're always looking for more!

Requirements

We are an easy group of folks to get along with - we don't have too many requirements!  Here they are:

1. You must be a Christian.
2. You must be committed to the local church.  This means you are a member, or you are pursuing membership. 
3. You need to be able to make it to the rehearsals and the performances.  This applies to age as well - you need to be of driving age (16+), so that you are not relying on parents to get you to practices.  If you are younger and you still want to be a part of choir, talk to the choir director.
4. You should be able to sing.  We're not looking for professional soloists; we're merely looking for people who can carry a tune, who love to sing, and who are willing to work hard.
